Frequently Asked Questions
Will I always have the same cleaner?
Yes, you’ll have the same regular cleaner for each visit to ensure consistency and peace of mind. If your cleaner is ever unwell or unavailable, we can arrange cover if you’d like it.
Do I need to be home?
No. If you won’t be in, you can simply let us know how to access your home — whether that’s with a spare key, a lockbox, or specific entry instructions. The safety and security of your property is our top priority, and all our cleaners are trusted, fully vetted professionals.
How does pricing work?
To keep things as simple and flexible as possible, pricing is based on a fixed hourly rate of £20 for weekly visits. If you aren’t sure how many hours your property needs, our online calculator can estimate this for you.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. We want you to stay with us because you love the service, not because you have to. We understand that life happens, and we want to provide a cleaning service that works for you without any hassle. That means that with Moppa you’re free to make changes to your booking schedule as and when needed, and you can cancel your service at any time.
Do you clean on Bank Holidays?
We are closed on Bank Holidays and weekends. If your scheduled clean falls on a Bank Holiday it will be automatically cancelled without any charge. You can reschedule a clean at any time via the customer portal.
What if I need to cancel?
Just give us at least 24 business hours’ notice and we’ll happily reschedule or cancel your booking. We’re closed on weekends, so for Monday appointments, please get in touch by the Friday before. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. There’s no contract — you’re free to pause or end your service anytime.
Do you supply cleaning products?
You decide! For a small extra fee, your cleaner can bring their own cleaning products. If you prefer, they can use whatever you provide. Please note that we don’t supply vacuum cleaners or mops, buckets or steamers so you’ll need to have these items available and in good working order.
What areas do you cover?
We provide domestic cleaning services through Gloucestershire (including Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, Gloucester, and Bishop’s Cleeve), Bristol, Truro and West Cornwall, Torbay and South Devon, Plymouth, and Exeter.
